Bognor Regis tourist information
Sunniest Bognor Regis - famous for historic royal visits and Billy Butlin, Bognor Regis is a popular traditional seaside holiday resort in the centre of the south coast of England. Sheltered by our near neighbours, the Isle of Wight and The South Downs, pay a visit and discover the reason for our long hours of sunshine.
Clean beaches, a long flat promenade and plenty of things to do with the kids make it as appealing to families as it is to watersport enthusiasts and those seeking a relaxing traditional sesaide holiday.
Bognor Regis is also home to one of the well-known Butlin’s Resorts – a purpose built holiday centre right on the coast that welcomes both day visitors and overnight guests. The resort has been here since the heady days of 'hi de hi' holidays in the 1960s but now is very much in the 21st century with three fabulous new hotels, a Spa and apartments that all help to enhance the choice of quality accommodation available across the town and neighbouring villages.
Visitors and residents enjoy year-round ive entertainment at the town's Regis Centre & Alexandra Theatre and the latest films and 'live shows' streamed from London and other international venues to the historic Picturedrome Cinema. There's a colourful calendar of events in the town, many of them unique to this part of Sussex.
Headlining the range of events large and small are the annual Rox Music & Arts Festival which celebrated it's 25th anniversary in 2015 and caters for all sorts of musical and art tastes and the Hotham Park Country Fair which brings the country to town each August. The International Bognor Birdman competition takes place on (and off) Bognor Regis Pier. The pier celebrated it's 150th anniversary in 2015 and has great plans for the future. So - there’s always a reason to come back again and again!
