Parks and gardens
Thousands of people enjoy the safe, welcoming and well-maintained parks of Sussex by the Sea, in Arundel, Bognor Regis, Littlehampton and surrounding villages.
Public Parks such as Hotham Park in Bognor Regis, Mewsbrook Park in Littlehampton and Marine Park Gardens in Aldwick are among the very best in Sussex and the whole of the UK. These parks have flown the prestigious Green Flag for several years, a well deserved award from Keep Britain Tidy for being amazing spaces to spend time outdoors.
Arun District Council, along with dedicated bands of volunteers take great pride in keeping the public parks attractive, clean, safe and Tivoli Lifestyle manage a great range of outdoor recreation facilities, set within the Parks.and Open Spaces of the district.
The mild climate and high sunshine levels mean Sussex has a world class horticultural history and some wonderful Sussex gardens can be found, including Jubilee Gardens in Arundel, a garden with medieval ruins. There’s also the stunning Arundel Castle Collector Earl’s Garden and a whole range of gardens, large and small open for charity under the National Gardens Scheme.
