Arundel Castle

Join Paul Ullson  and learn how to make some medieaval 'pastimes' that would be just the sort of 'entertainment the guards in the Castle's guard room may have enjoyed.

Who doesn't love a cartoon?  See the brilliant drawings created by Paul bringing the 'Call to Arms' event (just one of many events sadly cancelled this year) to life for your enjoyment in a fabulous online 'Flip Book'  at: arundelcastle.org/event/virtual-15th-century-raiders/  Could you design some 'historical' cartoons ?

Arundel Wetlands Centre (WWT)

Each week of lockdown the WWT team bring you a new set of curriculum-linked science resources. These will inspire your children to connect with the natural world, no matter how much green space you have access to. There's also selection of short fun activities that can be dipped into at any time.

Arundel Museum

Arundel Museum held a poetry competition in early May 2020. The winners were announced and you can read their lovely poems on the Museum's Facebook page. Why not have a go at writing your own poems and share them on our Facebook page

Butlin's Bognor Regis

Find some fun inspiration from the Butlin's Team and make some videos, show off your acting skills, send in your #Butlinsathome artwork and even make a cat super hero from a loo roll! Head over to the Butlin's Bognor Regis Facebook page and scroll through their great posts.

Littlehampton Museum

The museum team invite everyone to create something, whether you consider yourself to be an artist or not, based on your experiences, thoughts or feelings about these strange and challenging times we find ourselves in. Find out more about how to enter your artwork for the OPEN Exhibition 2020

Chichester Festival Theatre

With the Theatre doors currently closed, the building is looking a bit forlorn; so the Theatre team would like your help to decorate the Festival Theatre’s windows with artwork to make someone smile. They've created a template that you can download from their website to use, or feel free to create your own drawing, doodle or painting. Send them off to the theatre and  they will display them for everyone who passes the building to enjoy. There's an art trail you can discover too!

The Novium Museum, Chichester

Visit the Virtual Museum and learn a craft at  Chichester's fabulous  Novium Museum. From Loo roll Roman soldiers to Smuggling School and Milk Bottle Rockets - this will surely keep you occupied - and there's lots of great history tales too.  Finally, discover the fascinating story of arguably the most elaborately equipped Iron Age Warrior to be found in England - the Mystery Warrior found in nearby North Bersted, Bognor Regis.

Colour in West Sussex

Head over to our partners Experience West Sussex who have created some lovely Sussex scenes for you to colour in and display on your walls, windows, Working From Home noticeboard or fridge door, to remind you how beautiful and varied Sussex is.

Finally - Take a virtual walk through the Sussex Weald woods

Relax and let your mind take in the sounds of a real walk through the Sussex Weald. How many of the birds can you identify from their beautiful songs during the Dawn Chorus?  This amazing recording was discovered appropriately on Twitter, credit to Daniel Greenwood and our thanks to him for giving permission to share.

We hope you enjoy these online ideas from your own home and look forward to the time when we can welcome you to back to all our Sussex by the Sea attractions again.
