With clear views of Arundel Castle in the background, Arundel Lido offers one of the most beautiful locations in England for open air swimming. Its two heated pools are surrounded by grassed areas for sunbathing and picnics.
The Arundel Lido re opens on Saturday 4th May 2019 at 10am and to celebrate the beginning of the new season, entry will be free on the day.
Why not beat the crowds and at 8.45am for one of the popular Boot Camp training sessions and then a swim afterwards, all before the pool opens to the general public at 10.00am.
The session will cater for all fitness levels so everyone can take part – there are no excuses!
This is part of the regular BootCamp programme but for this event only the session will be free of charge, however, why not make a donation (suggested amount £5) to Project LEAP to help turn the Arundel Lido site into an all-year-round facility?
What is Project LEAP?
Its primary objectives are to provide additional recreational and leisure facilities for the people of Arundel and its nearby Downland villages and to make better, all-year-round, use of the Lido site.
The new facilities will also be a major new attraction for tourists and visitors to Arundel.
The project involves the construction of a new building which will form a Wellbeing Hub, comprising:
• A 26-station Gym
• A Multi-purpose Community Hall
• An Indoor Café
• Heated Changing Rooms (with showers, toilets and lockers)
This will allow the site to be used all-year-round and (given the Heated Changing Rooms) will allow the Summer Swim Season to be extended by at least two months.
