| Situated
between the Downs and the Sea, Sussex by the Sea is
surrounded by fantastic countryside with a wide choice
of footpaths for all types of walking.
In Arundel itself
there is the Audio Tour of the historic town; a variety
of walks through Arundel Park and the South Downs and
walks along the River Arun including The Port of Arundel
Heritage Walk. Along the Arun valley lies the beautiful
village of Amberley. In the opposite direction lies
the estuary and the seaside resort of Littlehampton.
Here you can enjoy a stroll along a riverside walkway
which links with the seaside promenade.
Also make sure you make that extra effort whilst in Littlehampton to cross the footbridge and follow the footpath along the road & the river to West Beach where you will find our beautiful Sand Dunes. In Bognor
Regis, as well, there is a great seaside promenade
walk taking you west to Aldwick or east to Felpham.
There
are excellent walks for all levels
of fitness, from the Arun Valley & Seaside promenades
to Heritage and South Downs Trails. For the really ambitious
we even have The South Downs Way which
is 99 miles (visit www.nationaltrail.co.uk/factfile.asp?trailCode=sd
) or The Monarch’s Way which
is 610 miles (visit www.monarchsway.50megs.com)
running through our patch!
