From the Mill Road car park, turn right out of the main entrance. Follow the path under the trees, with the castle on your left. You can walk as far as you like, following the pathway and then return by the same route. This will take you to: The Castle Trout Fishery, Swanbourne Lake, Arundel Park, (leading to the South Downs Way), Arundel Wetlands Centre and The Black Rabbit Pub.
Exit Mill Road car park from the rear exit and follow the River pathway. At this point, you can turn left for a short walk which will take you to Mill Road. Turn left here to find your way back to the car park.
Alternatively, head straight on along the riverbank, past Arundel Wetlands Centre and on to The Black Rabbit. Return along Mill Road to the car park.
Please note that the river is very fast flowing so you are advised to keep children and dogs under control.
A risk assessment has been carried out on all the routes used by Arun District Council, to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable experience. However, Arun District Council accepts no responsibility for your individual safety when walking. All walks are undertaken at your own risk.
