Hotham Park in Bognor Regis holds the coveted Green Flag – the highest possible accolade for open spaces in Britain – officially ranking it one of the very best in the country.
Close to the town centre and Butlins, Hotham Park is where the founder of Bognor Regis, Sir Richard Hotham, built his home in 1792. Major restoration work has taken place in the park following a £2.2 million grant award from the Heritage Lottery Fund restoring the attraction to its former glory.
As well as the timeless appeal of the miniature railway for the little ones, there’s a boating lake, children’s play area, crazy golf, picnic area, café and toilets.
Marine Park Gardens in Marine Drive West, Aldw
ick, was established in the 1930s. This seafront park boasts exceptional summer and winter bedding displays and boasts many original architectural features, including an ornamental fountain.
In 2008 and 2009 Marine Park Gardens won a Silver Gilt award in the Best Park category of South East in Bloom.
