Littlehampton Parks & Gardens

The open spaces in Sussex by the Sea are among the best in the country and are enjoyed by thousands of people every year.
The work which goes into keeping our parks pristine was recently reflected in the South & South East Bloom Awards for the 2010/11 Season, in which Littlehampton won a Gold Award for the town as a whole.
Mewsbrook Park in Littlehampton has been proudly flying a Green Flag – the highest possible accolade for open spaces in Britain which officially ranks it one of the very best in the country – for the last seven years. It was also awarded a Silver Gilt Award in the South & South East in Bloom Awards.
Established in the 1930s, the park contains a rich, colourful mixture of
plants and has range of facilities and activities to keep all ages entertained. Mewsbrook Park also has an active community group which organises events and activities throughout the year..
Facilities include a cafe, car park (at Littlehampton Sports and Swimming Centre), toilets, original Art Deco shelters, miniature railway, boating lake with viewing platforms, children’s play area, children’s quiz trail, small football pitch, picnic area, interpretation boards, and conservation area known as Ruby Gardens.
Norfolk Gardens, Sea Road/South Terrace, Littlehampton
Located on Littlehampton seafront, Norfolk Gardens offers a fantastic range of activities to keep the family entertained. The East Beach Residents’ Association plant and maintain all the annual flowers within the park which bring a refreshing splash of colour every Spring.
Facilities include a cafe, toilets, miniature railway (running to Mewsbrook Park), tennis courts, pitch and putt, adventure golf and bowling green.
If you want more lush green space ,there is always the nearby South Downs.
