A flat sand and shingle beach and Local Nature Reserve, approached from Ferry Road on the West Bank of the River Arun.

A Site of Special Scientific Interest, this is an ideal spot for a more relaxed beach experience, looking for wildflowers, sharks egg cases or spotting waders and other birdlife.

This beach also forms part of a gentle walk along to Clymping Beach, past the Golf Course, with great views of the South Downs to the north and Littlehampton seaside resort and River Arun to the east.

Road Directions

From the A259, west of Littlehampton, turn left into Ferry Road and right into Rope Walk. Folow the signs for the Beach Car Park

Public Transport Directions

Mainline rail station at Littlehampton. Pedestrian access via the bridge next to the Arun View Public House. Once across the bridge, turn right and immediately left into Rope Walk and the beach is approximately 5 minutes walk.
