Awarded a prestigious Green Flag for the last 6 years which is an award given to only the best parks in the country, Mewsbrook Park, established in the 1930s contains a rich, colourful mixture of permanent and annual planting and has range of facilities to keep all ages entertained. Mewsbrook Park has an active community group who organise events and activities in the park.

Facilities include a cafe, car park (at Littlehampton Sports and Swimming Centre), toilets, original Art Deco shelters, miniature railway, boating lake with viewing platforms, children’s play area, children’s quiz trail, Tree walk, small football pitch, picnic area, interpretation boards, and conservation area known as Ruby Gardens.

Road Directions

Heading West on the A27, turn south onto the A284. Go straight over the Wick roundabout and follow the road to the juction with Franciscan Way. Turn left onto Franciscan Way and at the mini roundabout turn left again. Turn right at the next roundabout and follow the B2140 to the seafront. Turn left and continue along the B2140. Mewsbrook Park is on the left behind the swimming centre. There is some free parking on Hendon Avenue or a pay-and-display carpark by the swimming centre.

Public Transport Directions

Approximately 15 minute walk along the riverside and promenade from Littlehampton Rail Station and Anchor Springs main bus stop (outside Waitrose supermarket).
