Get fit in the sunshine at the brand new Flex on the Beach Fitness Trail in Bognor Regis, a unique landmark to really put Bognor Regis on the map.

The 5km trail is made up of exercise stations along a series of circuits and the seafront.
The trail runs from West Park in the west and along the seafront to Gloucester Road, with the option to de-tour to Hotham Park, before returning to the promenade and along to Longbrook Park.

These circuits are designed to give the opportunity for fun exercise over a small area, a more strenuous workout by linking the circuits together, or the option of just walking the trail while taking in the sea air and sea views.

This ground breaking idea comes from the Bognor Regis Regeneration Task Force and offers some free fresh-air exercise to everyone, whether they are a fitness freak or a gymphobic.
The trail is there to dip in and out of – just like the sea.

Pieces include parallel bars, leg presses, hip twister and air walker, as well as routes to encourage people to improve their levels of activity, fitness and health.

There are also pieces suitable for people with physical disabilities like the Big Shoulder Wheel which has wheels at different heights so is suitable for wheelchair users and younger people.

Arun District Council secured funding from the national environmental body SITA Trust for the £36,600 of equipment needed to deliver the project.

Butlins Resort, Roffey Homes (award winning Grand Esplanade residential development on Bognor Regis seafront) and Arun’s new Wellbeing Partnership have all contributed to the success of this exciting new attraction.
