Bognor Regis Attractions

There’s plenty to do to keep everyone entertained in Bognor Regis – that’s why it’s been a firm favourite with thousands of families who return year after year. The award winning clean beach, with child friendly facilities and a long promenade are a major draw.
The famous Butlins Bognor Regis resort is the largest holiday centre in the South of England. Whether you just want to visit for the day or stay for longer, you'll find something for all ages here. The accommodation on the resort now includes the new 200 room Ocean Hotel.
Learn about the influences that shaped Bognor Regis at the Bognor Regis Museum. Discover how an 18th century businessman, ‘Hotham the Hatter’ changed it from a fishing hamlet into a thriving seaside resort chosen by royalty.
For relaxing the ideal picnic spot among shady trees, visit Hotham Park.
This historic park, is named after Sir Richard Hotham who originally founded the town as a seaside resort in the 18th century. The green oasis – officially one of the best parks in Britain as recognised by its Green Flag – offers relaxing walks and plenty of fun with a miniature boating lake and café.
The park surrounds beautiful Hotham House (not open to the public) and is just a short, easy walk form the town centre, seafront and Butlins.
Nearby is the Ice House - the original 18th Century refrigerator of Hotham Park Estate and the best surviving example of its kind in Sussex.
The town and seafront also offer great opportunities for those with boundless energy. The award winning seafront and beach are great places to blow those cobwebs away. You can windsurf, jet-ski, sail and swim - and as the tide goes out, the flat sands are the perfect spot for a spot of beach volleyball or beach tennis. Or take a ride on the promenade train.
Make time to meander through the Bognor Regis Art Trail and discover publicly and privately funded pieces of art and design. Or if you are feeling active, try out the new Flex On The Beach, 5km fitness trail with exercise stations in parks and along the promenade from east to west.
Indoor swimming and other leisure sports are also available at the Arun Leisure Centre, about 15 minutes’ walk to the east of the town, and the Arena Sports Centre to the north of the town.Other locations in and around the town provide opportunities for tennis, golf (18 hole), mini or crazy golf, bowls and skate-boarding.
If you still have energy to spare, there's a great mix of bars, cafes and restaurants and theatres, cinemas and night clubs to sample after a hectic (or relaxing) day at the beach.
Walking and cycling are also great ways to appreciate what Bognor Regis has to offer. Enjoy a stroll along the seafront or around town or head inland for walks in and around Arundel and the South Downs.
