The main shingle and sand town centre beach was awarded a Seaside Award again in 2016 and is clean, safe and family-friendly.
With lots of facilities, including RNLI Lifeguards during the summer months you're just a short step from the main shopping centre, and the wide, flat easy access promenade is great for families, wheelchair users, cyclists and skaters.
The Beach on the Beach is an enclosed area full of washed beach sand, perfect for building sandcastles, easily accessible from the promenade -and is now open for the 2016 summer season.
New from July 2016 is the new Paddle Boarding, Kayak and 'Fat Stick' concession,operated by TJ Board Hire near the Bandstand on the eastern promenade. Why not go for it and try these new innovative ways to enjoy the sea!
Beaches in the neighbouring villages of Aldwick and Felpham are equally accessible but are usually quieter and great for relaxing and taking the sea air!
Watersports enthusiasts love this part of the UK’s south coast for sailing, windsurfing and other on-the-water activities. When the tide goes out, the flat sands on the beach are perfect for activities like beach volleyball or tennis.

Parks and Greenspaces
Bognor Regis also has several parks, two of which hold national Green Flags Find out why by visiting Marine Park Gardens and Hotham Park The latter is where the founder of Bognor Regis built his house in 1792 and today visitors can enjoy a boating lake, miniature railway, walks, picnic spots, play area and more!
You can learn more local history at Bognor Regis Museum - a great way to find out about the town - and with free admission! For example, did you know that the County song "Sussex by the Sea" was written in South Bersted, Bognor Regis? William Ward Higgs wrote the famous marching song while he was living in Bognor Regis between 1902 and 1908. for his favourite sister-in-law who had just become engaged to a Captain in the Royal Sussex Regiment.
Golfers can tee off at Bognor Regis Golf Club. There’s also seaside mini golf opposite the pier and putting and tennis at Blake’s Road Sports Site.
If you prefer indoor leisure activities, there are great sporting facilities at Inspire Felpham to the east of the town and the Arena Sports Centre to the north.
Shopping and Parking
Bognor Regis has a great, easily accessible, shopping precinct benefitting from a great new look in the summer of 2014. Most national big brand names are here and there's some great independents too.
